Sale Alert:

I stopped into my local CVS today and noticed that all their Revlon products are buy one, get one free. I have stated in a previous blog how much I hate mineral make up but there is ONE, only ONE, mineral product that I can tolerate and that being is Revlon's Colorstay Mineral Foundation. So if you've been wanting to try that out or even their awesome Colorstay Liquid Foundation, now is the time to go. I actually appreciate a lot of things from Revlon. Why not try a little bit of everything since it's all BOGO? What sucked about my CVS is that they do not have the new Revlon Matte line out. So, that was bummer.

They had several other brands with selected products that were up to 75% OFF. I picked up one of the Milani Sunset Duo bronzers since it was 50% to give away as a gift for a friend. I've heard a lot of really great things about them but since I already have too much bronzer, I'll just have to try it out myself another time. However, I did purchase the Milani eyebrow set that they had in #2. This past summer, I spent $75 dollars on the Anatasia brow set they sell at Sephora that came with a shadow duo, tweezers, a highlight pencil, a spoolie/angled brush, brow gel, and a cute little purple case to put it in. Well, it was well worth the $75 dollars but the only downfall of this product is the shadow duo. With me being a brunette, I bought the brunette duo. Of the two shadows, only one shadow worked well and the other was way too dark. So, I wasted a whole side of the shadow duo because I would never be able to use it for myself. Now, with this Milani set that I just bought, it was only $6.49! It came with two shadow duos, a highlight, mini tweezers, a sponge tip applicator, and a small angled brush. I swatched all the colors and they pay off was nice. I am actually really excited to try this product out. I have never tried Milani products before, so I'm hopin this will give me enough umph to want to buy more.

I also purchased another L'oreal Voluminous mascara, the au naturale one, which came with a free black eye kohl. I swatched the eye kohl and it has a really nice consistency and texture to it. Yay for free gifts! I also picked up the original Voluminous mascara for my friend as well because she has been wanting a mascara that would give her sexy thick long eyelashes. Now, I've been using this mascara for years and I ALWAYS get compliments on them. Sometimes, people think my eyelashes are even fake. I've tried expensive mascaras before and none of them have done what L'oreal Voluminous has done for mine. So, hopefully she will end up loving this mascara as much as I do. Plus if you live in Texas, HEB always has $3 dollars OFF coupons for L'oreal products.

I am on a budget so I have been keeping it pretty drug store. I am going to go by Krogers later to see if they really do carry ELF products. I heard a rumor that they do and if that is the case, I need to see if they have any ELF brushes in stock. I am building a mini make up kit for my friend for a late Christmas/birthday gift. I so far have purchased MAC, Milani, L'oreal, and NYX products for her. I still need to run and get her an eyeshadow primer and a cream base. I'm thinking about getting her a L'oreal HIP paint set since they are very similar to MAC paints, except HIP's paints have a shimmer to them.
