Hauls:

I am an avid make-up guru youtube watcher. Don't get me wrong, sometimes watching new YT make up tutorials make my day but you know what doesn't make my day? Hauls.

Basically, when someone "hauls" something on youtube, they are showing off things and/or products that they have recently purchased. They are like show-off videos. They are almost like, "Oh, Look at me! I just got all this stuff!!! Let me rub it all in your face. Har har har." In a way, it kind of makes me jealous. I am not jealous in a sense that I don't have any make up because I have A LOT of make up but I have bought all of my make up with my own money over a course of 7 years. I'm not saying that some of these girls that do haul videos aren't buying their own make up but it's just pointless. Anyone can go to a make up counter or store and purchase a bunch of products. I am jealous because I pay for college and bills. I haven't been able to buy myself any new products for pleasure. If I even make it to a make up counter, it's to pick up more primer or mascara, not something fun that I haven't tried yet.

Now, there are also review videos. Review videos are different than haul videos in a sense that that particular person has tried that particular product and either likes or dislikes it and discusses in through YT to tell all their subscribers or future subscribers. I like Review videos because it gives you an idea as to whether you should test a product out or not. If I see multiple bad review videos on the same product, something should tell me that obviously that product isn't working out for a lot of people; therefore the product will not work out for me either.

Yes, I realize I can't really bitch about this because for about a year now I have said that I was going to start making make up tutorial vides on YT and I have not. I am still trying to gutsy up the courage to do it. I don't know really what is holding me back. There are gurus on YT that do looks that I was doing when I was in fifth grade, hah!

Anyway, I think haul videos should end. They are pointless. If you want to talk about products you just bought, write a story.
