I've been bad:

I haven't been keeping up with this thing like I should be. I guess that's due to the fact that I've had a pretty crazy Christmas/holiday break and it was also completely full of drama. Since I kind of want to keep this blog primarily as a make-up blog, I'm going to talk about it. Sure, I'll talk about other things but I feel the need to dedicate this to one of my many loves.

So, Christmas came and disappeared that fast. I actually managed to get a few things this break.

The first thing I recieved was from my lovely co-worker, the Cool Eyes pigment set from MAC that was released with their holiday collection. Now, I have MAC pigments and I do enjoy them very much so. This set consisted of 4 pigments and 1 reflects glitter (which is amazing, btw) all in this little red casing. The packaging is pretty cute but I'm never one really for packaging; I just love the products! I would recommend anyone getting this set but they were discounted after Christmas for quite sometime. I got on maccosmetics.com today and saw that they are not anymore. However, if you're into colors that have blue/pink undertones, then I would definitely look into getting this set unless it's already sold out.

I also recieved a bunch of stuff from my friend Danielle. She got me 4 of Maybelline's Dream Mouse Blushes (which I absolutely adore) in the colors Rose Petal, Soft Plum, Pink Frosting, and Peach Satin. These are so light and fluffy; very pigmented as well. If you like cream blushes without that greasy feeling, I'd definitely try one of these out. She also got me this really cute lip duo by Smashbox. It came with two colors and in the middle is this really adorable hidden lip brush. I also recieved 2 of my one and ONLY favorite mineral foundation powder by Revlon. It's from their Colorstay line. I do not care for the brush at all, however, the coverage from this drugstore and MINERAL powder is out of this world. I hate mineral make up. I never got into the whole "Ohhh, it's good for your skin" crap. However, if I ever rant about something mineral then it's definitely something you should be testing out. I bought this same foundation for my friend for Christmas and I also got my sister into it. Since I am in a roll here, I actually bought the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. What's really awesome about this foundation is that you have options between skin types. I have oily skin, so it offers me combination oily skin in my color. They also have a huge range of colors, sure to find your one true match. It's about 12 dollars and it's completely comparable to the 40 dollar MUFE foundation I was wearing. This foundation says it's non-transferable and it's a colorstay. I've been putting a small amount on my hand while I apply it to my face and after I wash my hands about three times, it's still stuck there. I also got 2 of those A Floral Affair blushes by Revlon. They remind me of the Blush N Brighten's by Laura Gellar and the MAC MSFs. If you go to Walgreens, they usually have a buy one, get one free on Revlon. I also got 2 of the Make a Sheen Revlon eyeshadow trios. I don't care for these at all. The texture feels spongey. I spend more time building up color on my eye than I do my whole make up process. Lastly, she bought me this ULTA kit that is filled with about 40 eyeshadows, 10 lipglosses, 4 blushes, lip liner, eye liners, brushes (that are terrible), and a travel case that allows you to make a little set to travel with. Some of the shadows are actually really amazing. I've never tried ULTA brand shadows before, so they get 3 stars. I haven't tried anything else in the set. I guess I'm strange and very particular. I tend to be a make up snob.

The day after Christmas, I shopped online and took advantage of the 25% discount at MAC on the holiday sets. Now, the Dazzleglasses were released with the "She Said Red" collection but were shown with the holiday sets. I ordered two Dazzleglasses in the same color, one for me and one for my sister. It was the only color left out of the dazzleglasses but I really wanted that color anyway. OKAY! Dazzleglasses are limited editions. If you HAVEN'T checked them out, your best bet is ebay or wait till they are rereleased. Dazzleglasses are my FAVORITE lipglosses, hands down. They smell like vanilla cupcakes and they shine like diamonds on your lips. I also picked up the 5 basic brush set. It had a lot of dupes that I really wanted and it's a HUGE deal to get 5 brushes for 30 dollars, when just one brush at MAC can be 30+ dollars.

So, that's pretty much it for Christmas. I've been on a budget since school is right around the corner. Hope this helps!
